Topic: New Song - Westbound Lane

WOW - people have really been creative around here lately judging by the number of recent songs posted...that's awesome.

Here's one of mine I recorded and put up on myspace - I wrote it some time ago and finally put down a version I liked.

got an '83 Chevrolet
got no heater on the dash
come december it frosts up some
but it won't keep me from going back

the 410 goes a long way down
from the Valley to Detroit
my tires hum and they burn along
a broken grille keeps me dead to rights

she left when I wouldn't put my name
to the one that grew inside
now I see my own eyes staring back at me
and it's time to turn the tide

bringing my baby back
bringing my brown-eyed boy home to me

Now I work down at the car wash where all it ever does is rain.

Very nice!  In fact, I got a little carried away and just let the player go through all your songs.  You have a very pleasing voice!

Thanks Amy!  I don't sing on all of the tracks - the two other guys I play with take over the vocals on Dead Flowers and Hasn't Hit Me.
