Topic: Problem with Cities
I watched a movie this weekend with my wife about a Londoner who went to a French village when his uncle died and left him his French estate and vineyard. I believe it was entitled A Good Year. Anyway, I thought to myself, "Hmm, I guess France isn’t so bad after all." which kind of gives away an underlying feeling I've had since a friend of mind was mugged in Paris in the early 80's. Anyway back to the song, I wanted to just look at a part of France that still would make you think "France' so that ended up in this song as Paris, mainly since my earlier feeling about France was more centered about Paris anyway, but this eventually became the song about people assuming that just because they read or see or hear of a bad thing or two about a city or country or place that it’s not worth going visiting or very different from our home when in fact it closer to our cities than we realize. Anyway I hope you like it
