Topic: Hm?
Does anyone know what this cord is. I've seen it several times. It might be a European notation. It's not an Em I'm pretty sure of that.

thanks Roger, I kinda thought. But it was on a tune that is still way beyond me. Sade's "No Ordinary Love"
Hi Guys
Your question intrigued me so I went to work on Google and this is what I found at looknohands.com
"The H is used in Germany and Scandinavia to indicate the B note. What is confusing is that they indicate the Bb chord with `B'. So, when you have tabs that come from Germany or Scandinavia, watch out for this: H stands for B, and B stands for A#/Bb."
So Roger is absolutely correct that Hm is actually Bm.
The light has come on for me - I wondered why all of those B chords I was playing sounded crap in certain songs.
Ian
I figured that out some time back, just by chance. I tried the Bm and it sounded right.
whoa! I'm trying to wrap my head around theory and now a whole new system for the B I already despise? LOL! GOOD to know anyhow! I actually had come across some song chords at one point in time that had a bunch of H's in it. I just thought the person posting the song was crazy... ha! I guess I was just ignorant.
"I won't go to bed stupid tonight!" -- One of my hubster's quotes!
The dreaded H chord mysteriously appears in our lives. Alwyas something to learn, right?
A little more knowledge never hurt.
