Re: Your best guitar?

This is a tough one. It's like asking a parent which child is their favorite. I must be diplomatic and call it a 3-way tie between;

1970 Fender Stratocaster(natural wood grain, white pick guard, and maple neck)

1988 Gibson Les Paul Standard(black w/ cream pick guard, and rosewood neck)

2005 Gibson J45(sunburst w/black pick guard,and rosewood neck)

Give everything but up.

Re: Your best guitar?

I have a Double Anniversary Gretsch hollow body electric (#6117)I purchased in 1965. It cost most of my work money at the time. I cherish it as the first guitar I learned on. It is in excellent condition and still shines like new. I've had the neck worked on and that's about it. I'd never sell or trade it-too many memories.

Re: Your best guitar?

I have several best guitars. It dependes on my mood. I have a 1972 Fender Mustang. I have a jazzed up 1961 Kay archtop with two P90 pickups. Then there is a 1937 Kay archtop, 1969 Harmony Sovereign, a Martin DCXE acoustic electric and finally a Martin d-45. They all sound great and are fun to play.

Re: Your best guitar?

i have a sunburst Les 80's modle 85 - 88 somewhere round there some black nameless axe that looks much like a Jackson and my favorite; a red flametop custome made Morgon Monroe with active humbuckers. It's my main stage guitar and pretty much the only electric that I record lead with (I use the Les mainly for rythem and for Cream and GnR covers.)

Re: Your best guitar?

Greetings,

My have a black Fender Telecaster thats a peach to play and a green on black Yamaha APX4 electro acoustic thats sounds fantastic.

My best ever was a 1959 Hofner Blonde, but that was 30 years ago. Getting rid of it was one of the biggest mistakes I made.

Re: Your best guitar?

At 25 I learned on an Excel fender knockoff given to me...  That was a couple of years ago, and have a cheap acoustic as well.  Ok guitars, nothing special just learners.  But I bought an Epiphone SG, dark cherry-red with black pick-guard and great pickups.  This guitar is a dream to play, and sounds great with or without distortion.  The neck is heavy, but I guess thats how SG's are, I still love it.

Re: Your best guitar?

I can't decide between my Takamine acoustic electric, or my Peavey Raptor EXP.

Re: Your best guitar?

I have always owned fenders, both strats and tele's. I have recently switched to the gibson lucille. I must say that I really love it. the thing that i do not understand is that besides b.b. I don't see any other players playing this model

what a long strange trip it's been
