Topic: Key of A
Hello all. I am new to the forum. Not sure if this is the correct forum to post this or not. I am looking for some ballads written or played in the key of A. Thanks.

I'm guessing the mods of this section will move your post to song requests, but meanwhile here's a song to get you started
Ben E. King- Stand By Me

Hi Parrot and welcome to Chordie,
You can also change any song you want into the key of A by using the transpose button to the right of the song.

Thanks. I usually like to stick to the original key unless of course there are the evil twins sharp and flat present.
SouthPaw...I'm a lefty too.
There's three evil twins sharp in the key of A.
True. That's why I stick to the A D E chords with the occasional F#m thrown in like in the "Stand By Me" song. That chord gives me fits as I can never play it with a clean tone. Guess I need to work on my forearm strength.

maybe the neck's too wide or the action is too high. But you shouldn't limit yourself to a few chord shapes.
Hi Parrot, welcome to chordie, if you go to the top of the acoustic section you'll see a sticky for a chord conversion chart
