Topic: How do you post tabs online

I want to make a tab for a song and load it onto chordie. Can anybody help?

Thanks,

Welcome to Chordie Billy!!!

Chordie is basically a search engine. It finds what you search for on other sites and formats it the way you see it.  As far as I know you would have to post it on another tab site so Chordie can pick it up.

Someone more knowledgeable will chime in with more info.

Re: How do you post tabs online

If the song is one you wrote, you can post it in the Songwriting forum.  If it's owned by someone else, then you'll have to find another place to post it.  If I knew a site reference, I'd give it to you, but I'm just no good at writing tab so can't help you.

Welcome to Chordie.  I look forward to seeing your contributions.

Re: How do you post tabs online

Just to confirm what zguitar and Zurf say, you cannot post tab or chords to other people's songs directly to chordie. You will have to post it to another tab site; there are plenty. You can then add this to the chordie archive by following the instructions in the resourses section of the site. There are instructions in the "sticky" at the top of the songwriting section on how to post your own songs there.

Cheers.
