Have you tried a different browser...My blackberry browser will let me into chordie but the opera mini browser i also use on my blackberry takes me to the iphone page..
If you go down to the bottom of the page you should be able to "view as desktop" or something like that. I've tried visiting Chordie a few times on my droid... but I always forget my password (My computer browser keeps me logged in at all times) LOL! maybe I'll change my password here and try it and let you know what I find out. I am pretty sure tho that the iphone page doesn't allow you to get into the forum.
I wonder if you can actually log in using an iphone - or whether its a problem with the mobile version of the page.
I have an android phone and also tried a few different browsers. I can't seem to save song to my songbook on the mobile version and I can't get to the non mobile version with a few different browsers I tried. I love chordie and am so excited to have mobile access. I wish I could save to my song book.
Interesting... I didn't even see the mobile version today when I was on my droid... hmmm...
Wow that is what I want. What browser did you use? I would rather not use the mobile version so I could save songs to my songbook. These browsers force me to use the mobile version:
Dolphin
Opera
and the preinstalled browser on the Samsung Moment.
Help would be great
Good question! LOL! I don't know... I'm using whatever came installed on my phone. It's a Motorola Droid running Android operating system (currently 2.1 WHOO HOO got my update and now I can pinch to zoom) ... so I guess it's something like an android browser? I really don't know! I did a search, and can't find a "name" for it other than "stock android browser". I know when I use my phone 90% of the time a mobile site just comes up automatically and then I have the choice to "view as desktop" and sometimes if the site supports it (like on facebook) I can view the "touch" version. The version of Chordie that's popping up on my phone now is JUST like the version I see on my computer.
Well, I am glad to see this thread because I am getting ready to leap for the new HTC Desire, Incredible or Nexus one, depending on when either of those come out. Hopefully soon.
If you are going for an android based phone, you'll want to set up a gmail account before you get it. It's easier to work on putting all your contacts in that now in your spare time using your computer keyboard... then they will just auto update into your phone and you'll be ready to go!
Thanks mkm. Will do
Just thought i'd let you know I am using my droid right now to post this. You just have to make sure you type the full site name into the browser. You might get re-directed to the iphone.chordie site the first time, but try again. You may even want to try coming directly to the forum first to by pass the redirect if you prefer the non-iphone version, then log in from the forum page. good luck!
I got my droid Incredible last week and I am able to connect to chordie, but my problem is, I can't remember my old password from years ago and I no longer have the email that is registered on here. I have tried to contact per, but he won't answer. I want to change my email and my password. Any ideas?
Hi Pete,
Send me a private e-mail of what you want your new password to be and I will change it for you.
Roger
Done. Thanks Roger
Hi Pete,
If you are reading this you will be using your new password and I have changed your e-mail address too. The e-mail is easy to change if you look at your profile; the password is not so simple as you have to remember your old one.
Roger
Thanks again, Roger. If I would have asked for a new password before it would have asked for my old one and even if I knew my old one, it would have sent the new one to my old defunct email address. You're the man.
Yay another droid user and Roger got you all set up so you can get on Chordie with the phone too! Check out Robotic Guitarist Free ... it's a tuner, chord finder, and virtual guitar all in one (and it's free). I just gave away my guitar tuner as I always have my phone on me (and my H2 recorder also has a tuner). I have no need to carry around another item! There's lots of free tuner apps if you just want a tuner. I actually have checked this one against the three other tuners in the house and it's accurate! Have fun!
I saw that Robotic Guitarist. I'll have to check it out. Thanks for the help everyone.
Besides Robotic Guitarist (which is the one app that impressed my mum *g*) Chordinator is a great chordpro viewer (even though it still has some issues with the autoscroll). Or has anyone found a better tool to display chords?
