Topic: Here I Am - Patty Loveless

So this is one of my favorite's by Patty and I figured it out.

At least how she does it. Capo 1 in D and it goes:
intro - DAGDBm (don't need this but it sounds nice)
Verses - DGDAGDBmGD
Chorus - GDGDAGD
Bridge - DGBmGx2

That's it

I like it in G which is like this:
intro - GDCGEm
Verses - GCGDCGEmCG
Chorus - CGCGDCG
Bridge - GCEmCx2

Lryics are out there some where so give it a try.

Re: Here I Am - Patty Loveless

Ain't Patty Loveless great. I play several of her songs,

Lovin' all night
Timber I'm falling in love
Chains
She drew a broken heart
Halfway down

Gonna have to try "Here I am" (have you tried capoing 1st fret and playing in "E"?)

Re: Here I Am - Patty Loveless

Jets60,

A lot of Patty Loveless' songs, that I have looked up, are shown as the key being a #. ie Timber, I'm Fallin' in Love. The key is C#. I capo 1st fret and play "C", barre "F" and barre "G" for the verses. The chorus goes "barre F", barre "G", barre "F", "B", "E", "barre G" back to "C". Played this way the song sounds exactly like her CD - except when I get to the 2 "off" chords - "B" and "E". Any idea if these 2 chords are correct? Something just don't sound right to me. Any help would be appreciated.
