Topic: Let's do it, let's fall in love! - Ukulele

Hello all lovely ukulele players. My friend has asked me to play and sing "Let's Do It, Let's Fall In Love" at her wedding... I can't track down any chords for it and would be most grateful if anyone had any ideas?
Thank you!

Hi Lizziewort!  Welcome to the Chordie Forum!  I saw that you accidentally started this thread twice and I deleted the duplicate.  When I get a little more time I'll do a search online for you and see if I can find anything.  Do you know who the author or original singer is?

So far, I found this... wonder if it'll help?  Pretty incomplete, but it's a start and of course you can change the tuning on the right side of the screen to UKE in C or D

Thanks so much for your help Amy, but it's not that song.. it's the one that cole porter/ ella fitzgerald/ eartha kitt sang "Birds Do it, Bees Do It, Even Sentimental Fleas do it"... etc...  If you do find anything I would really appreciate it. I can find it for guitar but am terrible at figuring it out into uke chords..

Lizzie... I suggest starting a new thread in "Other Stringed Instruments" and titling it "Help converting song from guitar to Uke" ... explain that you have the guitar chords for this song and ask if anyone can help you convert it to Ukulele.  Remember to keep all copyrighted lyrics and chords off the site.  You might be able to get some help via emailing one another.

I just edited the title of your thread and added in the word Ukulele, maybe that will help grab the attention of those who may be able to help!  wink

Lizzie,
Type Ella Fitzgerald in the Chordie search.  Click on Ella in the drop down and you will go to the main Ella page, and all song links will be there, including Let's Do It.  You can then change to Uke by left clicking the drop down option in the Tuning button ( way to right side of screen) and pick which Uke tuning.  Depending on how well you know the bride and groom, you could also do the next song on the screen, Makin' Whoopee.  Hope this helps

Wow!  I did not even look under her name, I had just done the search by song name.  Good find Icecubetray3pak!

Interesting thing I learned today... finding songs converted from guitar to ukulele tunings is not so easy and Chordie does it again.

How does this work for you, as an actual ukulele player Lizzy?
