Topic: An Economic What Turn
This is a song I wrote with some good advise from friend Neil Cotton.
Kind of a loud country Hank Williams Jr ranting song.

I like your song, sad, true, a little funny... thats life?
Lucky for us your song is not a downturn : )
Hi wbjm
Thanks for the comments, the times are pretty tough out there so I was going for a little humor to lighten up the topic.
Cheers
Kenny
I also did a quick re-write on Verse 3
Good one Ken, many a true word spoken, or in this case, written, in jest.
I could almost see Bob Dylan singing this one. Good job.
I like it alot Ken. I'm living in way I can really relate to that subject matter. I know it's been said but when are you going to get some of these gems recorded?
Hi buvvy, It's a touchy situation out there and I didn't want to write something that would offend somebody caught trapped because of the way things are. I tried to write it hoping the humor would out weigh the topic.
Thanks for the read and comments.
Cheers
Kenny
Hiya Pete
Good line of thought with the Dylan take, I never pictured him as I wrote it but since you say it, I can see this being done in the Dylan style.
Good Call
Kenny
Hi George
I hope your not under the gun like this character. If you are, keep looking and the very best of luck to you. As for recording, that my friend is a battle that I must confront as it's eating me up so to speak.
Thanks Again George
Cheers
Kenny
Yes kapa i got the humour in your piece.
I also got the underlined frustration. This could be our Anthem here at the moment.
Work can be burdensome at times, but a whole different story when you have none.
My own worry here now is not having flowers flown in for weddings coming up. Yikes ! It will be silk
ones, if i have no other choices.
Good writing as always.. RECORD SIR. I have Billy Walker worn out.
Be Happy,
Old Doll.
Kenny... Love the feeling in this song. So true... very country lyrics to this too... can't wait to hear a recording!
Hi Kenny
I hope you can get recording again soon as you've got a lot of talent for songwriting/recording.
both songs have great potential...
ark

phill
Hi Lena, God...your not still playing Billy W. are you?
At least you do have some weddings coming up...sounds like a party. Do you mean no flowers because of the volcano?
Thanks for great comments
Cheers
Hi Amy,
Yup, I can hear Hank Williams Jr all over this song as he got the red neck rowdiness built in him
Thanks for the read and comments
Chow for now
Howdy Doody Ark
I just about had myself talked into buying an electric guitar and other gear for Anybody Out There...Then I woke up and slapped myself in the face. Yup, I'm getting it from all over about recording...mostly from myself.
I hope real soon my friend
Appreciate the read and support.
Later Eh
Hah-hah hah. Hi Phill my friend.
When I was writing this I tried to picture a kind of red neck factory worker going through the motions.
Your not a red neck are you?
I'm glad to see you got the humor in it cause I surly didn't want to offend you.
How are things with you now a days anywho? Shoot me an Email sometimes...I'd love to type to you.
Cheers and thanks for the read.
Kenny
I thought you was writing this song about me too?
I had to retire to take a raise and keep from going under.
How crazy is that?
I think this one could span the spectrum from Heavy Metal to Country Twang.
Excellent song
Thanks for the read and comments Jody.
This plays kinda like Achy Breaky Heart and is meant to be a fun song.
Cheers
Kenny
Kenny,
You is a songwritin son of a gun, I wish I had some of your talent , I was always to busy chasin gals and smokin in the boys room. I could sure use some song writin skills now, shoulda paid more attention to my readin, rightin and rithmatic
Good One Kenny !
Wayne P
I liked your song too. I liked the humor and the subtlety.
Howdy Wayne
I don't know...I betcha you got the talent in there somewhere. I was always smoking in the boys room myself and failed miserably at everything else.
If they had a class called Imagination 101 I do believe I would have aced it.
Let me know if you need help with some lyrics and I'll gladly help you out.
Cheers and thanks for the read and comments
Kenny
Hi gabby
Thanks for the read and comments.
Muchly appreciated.
Nice job on your videos, I had a listen when you joined Chordie and again yesterday. You have a very good voice. Do you play in a band? and if you do , how is it going?
Cheers
Kenny
