Topic: What D'Ya Call It ?
A little frivolous thing - but why not ?! It needs two more verses.

"2 thoughts come to mind Stransongs.
Love overload ! Or uisce beatha ! Both can have the same affect !
I like it either way.
Old Doll.
I imagine this as a real upbeat song... I like it!
I like it....but I think it needs some kind of bridge that reveals something more about the song, I think it would be really cool if it revealed something personal, but that's just me.
Good idea, TheOnlyTaylor ! I think I've only written one other bridge before.
hi stransongs,
when it comes to a bridge, if i'm stuck i usually look back at my old (failed) songs, i may find one catchy line, or a chord sequence that'll set things off.
i like what you've done so far, 2 more verses to follow, and a bridge?

That's really good advice, Phill.
Love the song because I know where your coming from.
Actually I'm not sure about another two verses, I may just repeat. Apparently when talking about songwriting Van Morrison said "I just repeat things all the time". This songs all about repetition.
As for the bridge, I'll let it fester for a while and see what comes up.
I realised that I already had a chord sequence for the bridge. When playing, I already had started to extend the chorus with the following.
Asus2 - A7 - Asus2 - A9(no third) . Which is a one finger movement
Asus2 - 002200
A7 - 002020
A9(no third) - 002000
Hi StranSongs,
I can hear a kinda funky up tempo melody in this with a definite bridge.
Good Write
Looking forwards to the recording
Kenny
This is just an idea, but what if the bridge started out the same way as the chorus, but the chords and temp changes with lyrics that go into detail on each line.
Guess ya call it standin on the back porch
telling her its all right
ya, I Guess ya call it waiting around
when she needs you most
Guess I'll call it, standing up for you
guess ya call it,
oh I know you call it,
girl we need to call this
Love.
just an example, use it if you like.
