This is a tricky subject to bring up here and if anyone objects then it will be removed. But this is a campaign that my local church has supported as part of it's linking with churches in Zimbabwe. Since it's International Womens Day spare a thought for the women of Zimbabwe who have to deal with life like this. Give Zimbabwean women back their dignity.

Not so tricky.  Women hold a special place in mens hearts.  I say we drink to them and continue to put them on the pedestal they deserve.  Treat them with kindness.  After all, we shall never truely know what makes them tick.  Can't live with them.  Can't live without them.  A woman scorned.......

Alvee... thank you for sharing that link.  Coming from the point of view of "knowing" what that would be like... WOW!  I can only imagine.  I will spare a thought for those lovely ladies and girls today.  I there were some headbands or something that women would CHOOSE to wear in their little collection to purchase (instead of just pins and wristbands) to help support these woman.  I would have ordered something like that to sell in my shop (just on a support/donation basis) to other women to help raise awareness and help support this worth while cause.  It's interesting that nothing like that ever has to be doled out at the local clinics (in the states)... yet they hand out birth control like Christmas Candy.  Makes you think a little!

My daughters say they don't want to be feminists, because they just want to be equal to men - not better than them. I said they'd have a long way down to go to get there - but they threw stuff at me.
