Topic: Open Sea

I wrote this song last night and this morning, a idea that stayed overnight.

The progression runs G-D- Em- C, each progression for two lines.

Are you the wind/ Are you for real/
Are you the hurricane in my heart that I feel

Is this the time/ Is this the place
Is this the love story I could never erase/

CHORUS
I was waiting/ for the winds to blow
So you and me could ride the waves
I was waiting/ for the lights to glow
So you and me could see what we had saved

So this is how/ the story goes/
when a heart is just too broken to know/

This is the song/ the stars will sing/
As they watch you wish away your everything

Chorus

Bridge-
I gave it all away to you
But I gave it all away for me
I threw my flowers to the open sky
and now they're floating in the open sea

Chorus

Re: Open Sea

That is beautiful!  I hope we can hear a recording soon!

Art and beauty are in the eyes of the beholder.
What constitutes excellent music is in the ears of the listener.

Ask not what Chordie can do for you, but what you can do for Chordie.

Re: Open Sea

hey guys, I just posted a recording on my soundclick band page- it's just done on my laptop with audacity, so  its poor quality. Give it a listen, any criticisms or opinions would be appreciated!
