Topic: Forgot how good this song is...

For those who remember my "someday" song concept - it's probably not possible to do any better than this even though it is in an entirely different direction I was going.

Was wondering Zurf how that project was going? Are you going for a ballad or a more bluesy sound?
      Seems to me either way or maybe something along the lines of "Turn the Page", Bob Sieger.

Well, everything I play comes out like country tinged folk, so it will probably be country tinged folk.  However, if I had the skill to play any style I want to play it would be a rock song or a loud minor blues something like Buddy Guy's "**** right I've got the Blues". 

I do not like Someday and I want the song to tell it how I feel.  It will be filled with words my children are not permitted to say, defiance, and threats. Ballad isn't really where I'm coming from.  I am angry with Someday.  It is a thief and a liar and a cheat.  So, words will rhyme with glass, firetruck, slight bee and things like that.  Not really something that you'll want to play around kids and something that I won't be posting in the Songwriting forum for all to see.

Hmmm... Zurf, here is my request.  When you do eventually get the song written and/or recorded... I for one would LOVE a personal email with the details!  Either, a file with the song written... or a link to youtube where you've uploaded it.  You know.... something along those lines!  You can still share "off the record"!!  smile  I think Bensonp would like in on this as well.  Anyone else?  ha ha!  Pushy?  Who?  Me?  Well, you don't HAVE to oblige.  smile

It'll be a while anyway.  If a song doesn't come to me in ten minutes, it takes a long, long time.  The ones that come to me in ten minutes tend to be pretty silly, like my Country waltz song "My Life Revolves Around Pee" that is all about cleaning up pee (as one might imagine).
