Topic: Welcome Home the Hero's
Here's another one dedicated to our men and women serving abroad.
Welcome Home The Hero's.
Phill Williams. 28th February 2010.
Through the darkest dark, the coldest cold.
The hero's march, both stern and bold.
No lesser men could rise this high.
Their duty clear; to do or die.
Life is dear to all who live.
Life is all some have to give.
Give not your life in senseless rage.
For another's cause who lives on, safe.
To take the lives of innocents.
Women, children, non-combatants.
And so the hero's through the dark.
Stealthy shadows, silent walk.
To take one life to save so many.
Who'll give his life to kill so many.
And yet the oppressed do not cheer.
Do not celebrate life without fear.
All their work their sacrifice.
As dust in the breeze, a torch in daylight.
But they wont give-up, wont turn and run.
No fear of fools, of madmen with guns.
Sometimes let down by their own countrymen.
Don't sneer in his face, don't deride what he's done.
For the next life he saves may be yours...
Cry “FREEDOM .
Cheer loud.
Applaud the parade.
Welcome home the hero's.
Give thanks for what they've saved.
