Topic: NFL PLAYOFFS

OK folks - the playoffs are finally here. Who are your teams and who do you like this weekend? It seems to me the playoff pool is more evenly matched than in recent years, with no real dominant team.

I have been a lifelong Cowboy's fan and they seem to be peaking at the right moment. That said, the next big game that Romo and company win will be the first big game they've ever won. I also like the Chargers because Rivers went to my alma mater. A Cowboys vs Chargers Super Bowl would be fantastic for me.

This weekend's games and my picks:

NY Jets vs Cincinnati....... NY

Philadelphia vs Dallas..... DALLAS!

Baltimore     vs New England... NE

Green Bay vs Arizona.......... GB

Re: NFL PLAYOFFS

top I hope your right on those picks being from Green bay I know the Cardinals were resting a few important personal namely Curt Warner but the way the Packers played it wouldn't have made that much difference in the outcome anyway, I think the Eagles and Cowboys game will be hard fought I do think Dallas will pull it out, dont know about the Jets at Cincinnati Ocho cinco could burn a few safeties and if Tom Brady is healthy even without Wesley Welker the Patriots could be a fight with a much improved Ravens team we shall see good luck to both our teams smile

Life long Pats fan here but with losing Welker we don't have enough to get there. That being said...anyone but the Colts....

I used to be disgusted; now I try to be amused.

Re: NFL PLAYOFFS

The Greenbay game was a hearbreaker to watch,if Aaron Rogers had not overthrown Jennings by two yards they would have won the game in overtime a tough loss but it was a good game smile

Re: NFL PLAYOFFS

OK - so last week I went 2-0 on Saturday and 0-2 on Sunday. I hadn't seen Baltimore play all year and the certainly looked impressive. And Kurt Warner was amazing in a "where did the defense go" game. Warner had more touchdown passes than incompletions - quite impressive.

So this weeks games are:

Arizona vs New Orleans

Baltimore vs Indianapolis

Dallas vs Minnesota

NY Jets vs San Diego

I'm going straight "C's" this weekend. Cardinals, Colts, Cowboys and Chargers

Re: NFL PLAYOFFS

Colts

Saints

Cowboys

Jets             I know I'm probably    Dreamin, but Rex Ryan's  father Buddy brought Da Bears their only Championship in 1985
don't look like the cubs will ever get one championship so I'm happy with one could be worser  smile

My picks for  next weekends games

New Orleans  Saints over the Vikings   NFC

Indianapolis  Colts  over the Jets    AFC

I have to watch the games before giving my Superbowl Pick

Re: NFL PLAYOFFS

Indi is going to crush the Jets.

The Aints and the Vikes, though, is going to be an epic game.  Those are two outstanding teams, so I'd hate to call it one way or another.   The Vikes D + Brett Farve is potent, but NO can pretty much score on demand.

Either way, whoever wins that, plus Indianapolis in the SuperBowl makes it a game worth watching.

Someday we'll win this thing...

Re: NFL PLAYOFFS

Jerome nailed it. The Jets surprised me me by jumping on Indy early but our boy Peyton had something for 'em.
Must have been a cold day in hades because the Saints are going to the super bowl. As a fan since 1967, I feel vindicated. I'll never wear a bag over my head in the Superdome again.
