Good old British topic of conversation here ! - I live in the north of England, Northumberland to be precise, the weather here is terrible at the moment with snow, ice, sleet and its set to continue for the next week or so ! Driving conditions are dangerous to say the least so its a great excuse to get the Strat out and get some practice in. Hope its better weather where you are Chordians !

Over here in Cape Town, it's 33 degrees, blue skies, NO WIND, very unusual for us in summer, and LUVVERLY. My nephew lives in London, and loves the cold weather, [it's beyond me, but what can I say, he is family]. It's just gone 6pm and i'm off for a swim.
there's good in everything. A little guitar practice is good for what ails you.
here in Port Washington Wisconsin its a balmy 0 or below tonight it will drop a little lower I have a miserable head cold that started new years day got a flat tire two days ago had to replace the tire happy new year 
here in atlantic canada we are having a big snow storm, started yesterday and suppose to snow for the next two days, calling for 45 centemeters,then freezing rain
minus 6 degrees, bbbrrrrr.

We had a slight thaw earlier, now its 4 below again. Very icy conditions.
Its a great excuse to stay home the morrow to read or play guitar. Woohoo.

Russell ! How did you deflate that tyre ? I have one also its a eating and drinking to much tyre . Mine needs deflation also !!

my neighbor knocked on my door and told me my tire was flat fortunatly her friend had a air tank and we filled it up and I took it to a repair shop they fixed it and sold me a used tire for $10 because the tire on the other side had a big rip in it and could have blown out while I was on the freeway which would not have been a good thing but at least I feel a little safer driving

I live in the south - had a good 6" snow 2weeks ago and there are still visible remnants which is unheard of for this area. Next weeks temps are forecasted to be lows in the teens, highs in the 30's all week - they say it's the worst cold streak in 30 years.
I recommend making some boat drinks and cranking up some Buffett.

I live on the Alabama Gulf Coast. Winter is max down here. The high never got out of the high forties. The lows for the next five days will be in the 20s. That sounds good to most of you guys but we are freezing in our houses up on pilings and our under the floor pipes are bursting.
There is a bar right at the Alabama/Florida border on the beach called the "Flora-Bama" ( surprise surprise) that closely resembles the "Bama Breeze" in the third Buffet song you posted. The joint looks like a car wreck located between two really spiffy condos. The last big storm pushed seven feet of salt water and beach sand over the place and they reopened a week later. Every guitar pickin' musician I know has played there for low wages and good tips.

I guess I can not complain we have pretty moderate weather in california low this week 38 high will be 60,we do have to pay more to live here then most states though.
Topdown, that is a great photo, very different to most beach shots.
Yesterday and last night we melted, and today, well it's overcast and drizzling, and the surf is small. Go figure. It's definitely a day to put a few chords to some unfinished tunes. Have a great day, wherever you might be
BEAUTIFUL photo topdown! Here... we have snow, snow, and more snow... nothing much but snow and below 0 windchills. So far we've had record snowfalls in the negative... meaning... we've had less snow to date than any other year... but it's here now. We're expecting an average year of snowfall in NY... with "near miss" storms, which means we'll probably end up with some seriously AWESOME blizzard this year (or almost? if you listen to the weathermen). The weathermen appear to be protecting their buns with the expectations! LOL!
Apparently the weather is pretty screwy all over the world. I hear Africa is expecting possible snow this year... crazy! And I heard something about Florida expecting snow? I don't know... except that I really hope this is my last winter in NY. It's probably not, but I can dream!
Cold, cold and more cold. I'll take the snow over cold...

Had a Green Christmas...Green New Years...1 1/2' of snow the last 3 days...freezing fog this morning...the snows melting but it's supposed to get cold again with more snow...Oiy
Mother Nature...just like a woman. Please make up your mind. What's it gonna be winter, spring, summer, fall. I just wanna know.

It's so cold here I saw two fire hydrants fighting over the same dog. 
At Night here it goes down to about -10, so our water pipes froze so now we have no water! I liked this weather up until this. But there's a lake in my town and it froze over and you can walk on it.
I thought Global Warming was going to be a good thing and make us warmer!

Southeast texas is frozen, which is worth writing home about lol. People around here don't really know what to do with the cold (we had our A/Cs on on Christmas last year), so there's a mild panic sweeping the area. They started school late this morning for "extreme weather conditions". Its 20 something degrees (sposed to dip as low as 18) and not a cloud in the sky! The roads aren't even icy because its dry as a bone... and we're bundled up like eskimos and stockpiling bottled water. Wo'd have thought 'winter' could be a natural phenomenon?
I've been calling it the "Ice Age" out of sarcasm 
Oh and that photo is amazing btw
Well, it's just hard to beat Buffett, the sun, sand, the beach, the caribbean, the Gulf Coast, just feel good music and friends, brings back so many memories.

I believe you all have to clear pathways ? Well we dont ! If someone falls and slips on the cleared paths, they sue the person who cleared it. So just dont do a thing ---Now isnt that just the Irish for ya ?
