Topic: rekindleing the fire

Do you remember the rush you first got when you knew that you had just nailed a difficult chord progression or lead run? Or the first time you played on stage and the crowd was wound up and partying like crazy and you knew you had them in the palm of your hand. I seem to have lost the spark that ignites that kind of flame. I don't know how many people out there that have lost the desire to play on a regular basis and were able to rekindle the flame. Let's hear your secrets. How do you keep your playing fresh and that flame burning bright?

Don't take life too seriously, you're not getting out alive anyway

Re: rekindleing the fire

the one thing I do is keep coming here.  It gets me fired up.  And I try to learn new songs and chords along the way.  And I watch a lot of YouTube stuff and I always learn something from that.  i try to get better at something every day

I have finally found happiness in my life.  Guitars, singing, beer and camping.  And they all intertwine wonderfully.

For me i just have the love for playing guitar. Coming here and to other guitar forums keep me wanting to learn more.I can say that since i've started browsing the music forums i have found a deeper love for playing and i can hardly wait to grab my guitar and bang out some tunes on a daily basis. Every day i learn more and more and as i master each lick or progression i feel more and more confident and satisfied with my playing.
