Topic: Have you checked out Clive Carroll?

Hi

If any of you haven't already checked out the guitarist Clive Carroll then I highly recommend him. I saw him play a couple of years ago with Tommy Emmanuel and Martin Taylor and he blew me away. He is currently giving away a free download track and the link is http://bit.ly/2K9nKX

Would be interested to get everyone else's thoughts on his playing?

Another great guitarist. I keep learning of new people on here so often that I might never had heard of before, thanks for the link.

I agree with cameron.  This is how we find other great players

You can see all my video covers on http://www.youtube.com/bensonp1000
I have finally found happiness in my life.  Guitars, singing, beer and camping.  And they all intertwine wonderfully.

Re: Have you checked out Clive Carroll?

You Know, in my day, Jimi Hendrix was considered the greatest guitar player in the world. I'm sure some will argue that and make a good case but generally speaking thats how it was. Then comes Stevie Ray, who I thought took it to another level, now I'm hearing people like Tommy Emmanuel, Clive Carroll, Andy Mckee as well as others, and yes, I know it's different types of music, but it's all good. I still say though that I miss the days when people wrote, played and sang their own music, but these talented guys stand alone, very gifted, but I'm sure they work very hard and long at thier art, I'll never reach that level, as most of us won't, but it's fun to dream and listen to the masters.
