Re: I thought.....

If anyone wants to hear the above I've just posted an exceptionally sketchy and hoarse demo version of it on my Myspace page. (I've got a spring cold...bless!)

I'll re-record it in due course once I've shaken my sore throat but I wanted to get it online asap. Impetuous youth that I am  <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_razz.gif" border=0 alt="Razz">

Re: I thought.....

Hi Mark,

Another fine song from you and the bad throat is not obvious. I was very pleased to hear it as one of my pet hates is songs that fade out, I always think that the writer is too lazy to write an ending, and I cringed when I saw the words "fade out" at the end of your posting. Happily you did not mean a fade out as I thought i.e. the song being still sung as the volume faded away.

Well done,

Roger

"Do, or do not; there is no try"

Re: I thought.....

Haha, I know what you mean Roger. In truth the "fade out" comment was as much for my own guidance as anyone else's. I've been getting into the habit of forcing myself to find a finish to a song when sometimes letting a note ring to a finish is more appropriate.

As for the traditional fade out, agreed. It's not the way I like songs to end either. The music should only stop when everything's been said......in my opinion anyway.

Thanks for the feedback as always.
