Topic: band names

I want to know, especially concerning big names in the music world, the group with the most funny or special names. I like the name of the group Marylin Manson. There are also names of pop/rockgroups, who started to live their own lives, for instance ALICE COOPER, started as name of a band, wasn't it a guy named Vincent Fournier, who started with a group, named Alice Cooper?

Not exactly a funny name but, PJ Harvey started off as a 3 piece and then the singer Polly Jean Harvey carried on herself using what was her own name...PJ Harvey....and damned good she is!!

That's a good one. This is the kind of names, even famous bands, I like to hear. Also bands with a name that means completely a different word in another language.

I liked also, DR HOOK AND THE MEDECIN SHOW.

This is a very difficult topic, and I hope to make it a funny one, watching the names of groups. This is a typical topic, where your answer is on top of your tongue, but doesn't come out of it.

My current temporary project band is called Laughing Joe's Medicinal Compound and Brew Company.It's acyually just me and a few mates who are recording a C.D. of all our different origionals. We all just bring in songs and teach them to eachother and then record them usualy all in one day.
