Topic: Chug a Lug Chug a Lug

This last weekend I volunteered my time installing new bathroom partitions at a local Kids Camp. We were enjoying a few wobbly pops and listening to the radio when this good old song came on. Everyone got into it and I can't get it out of my mind so I thought I'd share it with those that haven't heard it and those that know it. It's a classic.
Enjoy

Roger Miller singing "Chug-a-lug"

Check out some of the other links to his tunes. May I suggest "King of the Road" or "Dang Me"

He had a good sense of humor. I believe he past sometime in the nineties.

Roger Miller is one of my favorites!!!! He has a lot of funny songs but the one I like the best is River in the Rain. Just remember, you cant roller skate in a buffalo herd. He also did the voice of the rooster in Disney's Robin Hood. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6nZNwR2maas

Thanks! At one point in my life Chug- a- Lug was my nick name.
I still like the song.

I like Roger Miller.  I had never heard River in the Rain before.  I like it.  We used to play Cug a Lug in the car for the grandkids when they were little.  They still love that song.

I have finally found happiness in my life.  Guitars, singing, beer and camping.  And they all intertwine wonderfully.

When I first heard it, I thought it was a George Jones song. I had no idea till to day it was written for a Huck Finn play.
