Hooray! My Mic input is Fixed !

Hello Russ ,
I have been trying to figure out how to get my mic input working for a while now and have searched and talked to several techs about it and haven't been able to get it. I need my laptop for work so it was hard to give it up to have it looked at. Yesterday I finally broke down and decided to try get it in for a repair. Anyway they are about a week or 2 backlogged, but I talked to a young feller that gave me something to try and it worked. So this is what I did. Per his instructions

Go to Control Panel
Go to Device Manager
Then Click on Sound Video and Game Controller
Then a list comes up
I chose my IDT Hi Codec Audio and right clicked on it
a window comes up to uninstall and you can click Ok or cancel on bottom of window
I clicked Ok    be careful there is also a place above that says delete software "DO NOT" Click this one
The Computer will then have to be rebooted and then

IT IS WORKING !!!
