Though we've been together for 9 years, my wife and I are celebrating our one year anniversary today. A friend is gonna take the kids tonight so we can have a night alone. I'm so excited I don't know what to do with my self!!! The only thing that doesn't excite me is eating that piece of cake that's been in the freezer for a year.
Bring as much romance into it as you can, but be sincere. Ladies love that. Good luck and congratulations

Anniversaries are a big deal for women. Make it a happy memory for her and you may get to celebrate your second and more.
Congrats! Personally, I would risk the cake, although I would probably have eaten it about 11.5 months ago. I just like cake.
Our cake lasted 10 years - rock solid ice. Neither of us could face it - that's what makes a marriage ! Whiskey or vodka and coke helps.
The oldest trees lean a bit in the wind. If you both lean, you'll end up wrapped up together for a very long time.

Happy Anniversary. They get better and better as time goes on (contrary to what you may have heard). I wouldn't eat the cake though...we still have the top of it; damn close to 20 years

You been together for 9 years and that is a long "test drive", but when you decided to "make it official" I'm sure that there were no doubts that it was a good decision. Me and mine are on our way to thirty.... but been soul-mates for 36. Ups and downs for sure, but like wine gets better with each passing year.
