Topic: Noob Question about saving songs

Hello to all,

New here and want to save "Song Book" to hard disc. I am currently in Panama and moving to Costa Rica for 6 mos while my wife gets her Immigration papers to the US. I will not have internet in CR so I would like to save to disc. Is this possible????

Love the site and it is so easy to use.

Thanks To All

Re: Noob Question about saving songs

Hi cw4rotorhead
There is no direct way to save your songbook from Chordie to your hard drive at the moment sorry..
The best way is to print out your songs and take them with you.. A bit old fashioned
or copy and paste them into word or something similar and then save to hard drive this may alter Chopro format though.

Re: Noob Question about saving songs

Hi CW4

As Ark says there is no way and best thing to do is to print it or copy and paste into WORD.

At the bottom of your songbook index there is the option " View/PRINT SONGBOOK"
If you click on that then print you will have a book you can put into a folder. This will let you still have access to your songs while you are offline. Or just have them in as a WORD document.

When you get back online your songbook will still be here in chordie.

Enjoy CR. I dont think I could go 6 months without being online.

Re: Noob Question about saving songs

good evening all. i am working on switching from strictly finger playing to using a pick, any advice on this transition would be greatly appreciated. lead work is not a problem; however my strumming sounds very rough even with a light pick. Thanks.

Welcome to chordie!!
You'll get a much better response if you start your own thread for this in the Acoustic Section... (I'm assuming you're playing acoustic with the mention of fingerstyle...)
Throwing a question in a unrelated thread will seldom get you the responses you deserve or want. I'm sure you'll get a warm welcome and plenty of advice once you post it in the proper place smile  All the best! -Pix
