Re: CORN SQUEEZINS

Awesome Russell!!! This kind of tune suits your voice and your style of playing to a T. And thanks for not using pre-recorded drums(haha), good job tappin' the drum sounds in on your own. Well done young fella!!!!

Re: CORN SQUEEZINS

Guys it really made my day to hear your comments,Thanks Steve and Geo yea I like that sound a lot kinda muted harmonics some call it "chicken pickin" wilbaye I was having a great time anytime you play is great, Southpaw I really appreciate your opinion and yes I tapped the pads so it would sound more human I have used pre-recorded drums but dont favor them for the same reasons as you I would rather play with a human or alien if he can keep the beat steady lol thanks again all smile

Re: CORN SQUEEZINS

Thanks Trevor I still hear it in mine lol I think most songs you write take a while to stay at the forefront of your thoughts kinda like a big meal it takes time to digest lol I dont see nothing wrong with useing artificial percussion the songs gotta have a beat and I dont have the room for a drum kit in my studio apartment so I use an Alesis drum machine and tap the pads manually smile

Re: CORN SQUEEZINS

hi russ,

i love this....as someone says above, it suits your voice. kinda reminds me of the eagles sound and feel, so it's a guaranteed winner for me.

Ask not what Chordie can do for you, but what you can do for Chordie.

Re: CORN SQUEEZINS

Hi Russ
This would be a drinking song then  smile
most excellent. The strat's stands loud and proud and offsets the vocals to tee...
Well done.

Re: CORN SQUEEZINS

Another nice one Russell.... put it on your CD list!

  Brought back memories of my college loggin summers.  There is a small community a bit South of me here that had a General Store where we'd stop on the way home after a day in the woods.  Buy some ice and munchies and if you were to stroll out back to the pump-house you'd find some shelves with gallon jugs of clear liquid.... leave a $20 in the jar and haul one home with ya (bring back the empties please).  No smoking in the car on the way though!  Mighty fine Shine as I recall.... aged in plywood for a real long time.... could run a chainsaw on it I swear, and responsible for more than one "lost weekend".

Thanks and Take Care;
Doug
