Topic: Theory & Eric Johnson

Maybe this is the wrong board to post this question, but does any one know what types of scales and especially chords that Eric Johnson likes to use in his music? He has such a signature sound and while much of that has to do with his individual musical ability, he also uses especially interesting chord phrasings that I have not heard elsewhere. Maybe they just sound cool and aren't that hard, I don't know....

Eric Johnson is a very well rounded player! He plays many scales and chords in his music.
He plays a lot of pentatonic scales in his songs, but he usually uses phrases that are not common among guitar guitar players. Making him sound different than a lot of guys! He is awesome! One of my favorites. smile
