ark
I also like Marie Ellen and standing at the top of the stairs very original ideas keep them comming well done Phill
Wow, was it speed or fresh air brought all these out ?
I loved Old Fashioned Lady - some up tempo nostalgia !
I got a real Lennon-esque feel through most of them, maybe it's your voice. You're in S Wales aren't you - you aren't originally from further North ?
hi stransongs,
no i'm afraid not, born and bred in dear old sospan town aka llanelli, facing the gower peninsula amongst the cows, tinworks and rugby fields.
you have made my day, lennon is one of my all time idols, and i wish i had his talent and his voice. the song "dear john" is aboutl lennon and was written over 30 some odd years, i started it in 1972, and fiddled about with it in 1981, 1999 and last week, to bring it up to date.
old fashioned lady is about the strife between my mother and ann my wife when we first got together. they made it up before my mother died, thankfully.
hi russ, ark,
glad you liked the new recordings, most of the songs are quite old, "marie-ellen" being the newbie of the bunch, along with "buck stops". i managed 11 recordings so far, single track recordings are so quick....still a few to go, pity you can only put 6 tracks up on myspace at a time.
never mind

hello mr ark, nice to hear from you again, if you recall i had a problem getting my soundclick address, that hasn't changed, any help would gratefully received, by the way, i've now completed 16 tracks, so i'm getting desperate.

Phill Kunaki will produce a cd from your mp3's for nothing also give you a site to market them and I think the only charge $1.75 of each one you order the first is free and they also have cover designs and bar codes for free once you upload the songs one at a time bit by bit they send you all of them in a wav format plus ship you one all mixed and packaged and a link to the order site you can embed in your myspace page if I remember on orders over 1000 they ship free and CDbaby can take a few and also provide a site for a low fee worth looking into
a CD? i wish...
thanks russ, it sounds very interesting, have to give it a lot of thought though, eg who would buy it, apart from stransongs?
