Thanks Russell I have tried this but I've only been playing for a 6 months and no matter how many times I look at the video I can't get what they are strumming.  Strumming in a problem for me when playing.   Hope I will get better.

I think if you have been only playing for 6 months you may be expecting to much it takes a little time to be consistent and steady, all strum patterns are based on down and up strumming some of the syncopated rhythms look easy only because the musician playing them is an accomplished player you need a basic study source on strum patterns there are many, I have heard a lot of good things about Justin guitar from a lot of members on Chordie you may want to check him out and be patient it took me a few years to really get comfortable and I used to practice many hours a day every day so it comes down to how bad you want it smile
