Topic: tabs

now i really am trying hard to get my head around reading tabs. so you have the 6 strings and if you have a 0 on say top E, then you play that string open, yeh??? if you have a 2 on top E then you pluck that string with your finger placed in the 2nd fret...Yeh???

so what the eeeek do you play when you have say top E with a 2, and directly underneath that A with a 3, do you plat them at the same time...or what. Sorry to sound dumb about this, but don't know anyone round here who plays who can show me, i know it is prob simple.....and i know it isprob old hat on here, just looked at house of the rising sun, and it really didn't help me much, hope you are all good today....x

Don't sweat it man.  That's what the forum is for.

If it looks like this:

e---------------------

b---------------------

g---------------------

d---------------------

a--3------------------

e--2------------------

then you play them at the same time.

If like this:

e--------------------

b--------------------

g--------------------

d--------------------

a----3---------------

e-2------------------

then you play the a after the e.
