Sounds really nice Alvee. This is a peaceful, feel-good tune. The bridge towards the end is a nice touch. Great job!
Peace and Guitars,

Thanks a lot Toney. That really means a lot coming from your good self. I'm glad I got the feeling across. We all know how hard and dull the day to day things can be but the things that really matter are the connections between people and places. I love nothing more than a gathering of friends and family. Which usually turns into a great big sing-a-long. Cheers.
Nice work on this alvee
I can hear my family and friends doing this around the campfire.
Well Done all the way around.
Kenny
You're very welcome Alvee. Keep up the great work!
Al,
thats blooming great.
I had a wee go strumming it before I saw your link. I done it very similar but ye beat me on points
As I said in the youtubio comment I like this song
I think songs that "just appear" are the songs that sound great. I dont think they just a ppear for no reason and once you get that wee niggly tune or lyric in yer head then get to work or you will forget it ( I should take my own advice on that)
I have started singing into the recorder on my phone so I can remember a few lines and melody that I start making up in the car, sometimes doesnt come to anything but sometim4es it is the beginning
Keep up the good writing
Ken
Great song Alvee !
Good idea about the phone, UYK. I'll have to get the kids to show me how !
Thanks a lot folks. As I said elsewhere, this is all down to chordie. Thanks to this forum I have learned so much and gained quite a bit of confidence. The result is that not only am I confident enough to try to write my own songs but I'm also not filling my pants with brown stuff at the thought of letting other people see what I've done. It may not be brilliant and it's only one song but a couple of years ago there is no way I would have been able to do that. Thanks Chordie Forum.
not brilliant?
And britney spears, justim timerman, culture club, boney M, the tweets, black lace are all brilliant?
yer better than them mate and dont let anyone tell you different.
I am getting better than the wee guy I saw at balloch folk festival last year so I tihnk I will knock him off the stage this year.
Ken
Well done Alvee33. I also enjoyed the Thin Lizzy cover from your youtube page. A great rendition
Thanks geoaguiar, I love that song.
Ken, I was just checking out the Lomond Folk Festival's website to see if we could make a joint bid at blowing away the locals but I see it's on at the same time I'll be in North Wales. Looks like the locals are safe.
thats a shame Al.
I was thinking of taking my guitar down on the Saturday and have a jam or two in the pubs.
Sunday however is not a day for jamming for me, it is historically a 12:30 start in the pub, the 1st pub then the second, third then a carry out and watch the bands on stage outside then back in the pub for some more music.
Never mind, I am sure we could organise something sometime.
Ken
Good wee song Al. Really liked it. Thought you played it very well too. Good tempo to it and some sharp little touches in there to boot.
Looking forward to the next one matey.
