Thanks James. I was going to add a little variety to the music but  I really like the chord sequence, kind of lazy and sleepy which is just like how I feel right after I get done with a tough hike. So what I do in the song is I get a little funky with the singing to kind of spice it up but still keep it kind of sleepy. My wife says it sounds kind of Michael Franks like but I don't think it so. His stuff is written for the keyboard and pretty tough to play on the guitar. In this song the toughest part for me is when I switch from Fmaj7 to Cm, it's a little tricky but helps me because I have a tough time switching to barred chords anyway. Oh yeah, I didn't put it in the song because I wasn't sure exactly how I was going to play it at first but I repeat the A6, Cmaj7, Fmaj7, Cm after every line, just the music that is, but I sing the chorus straight through. I also echo the "miles and miles" part when I repeat the music which is the only execption if you know what I mean. When I went back to edit and add it it messed up the song a bit so I didn't save my changes. I will be playing that song after my first day hike this year but not sure when that will come. I think you'd like it the way I sing it, that is if I don't dork up the lyrics too much. The idea is that I add variation to how I sing the lyrics. The music at least for this song is more constant through out. Just trying new stuff. I've been listening to other songs and saw a few uses of that and thought I'd give it a go.

I'm anything but clever but I liked the sounds of the chords when played together so the trick is this. Start on A6 which is xx2222; then to Cmaj7 which is x32000; then to the first tricky chord the FMaj7 which is x33210;

then the next tricky chord the Cm which is x13321 and then back to the A6. The Chorus is pretty simple with the only tough chord being the Fmaj7. For the verse I just slid my hand up the neck and over from the Fmaj7 to the Cm and it does take a little getting use to. Sometimes I miss the A string on the Cm which makes it xx3321 which still sounds pretty good. Give it a try and see what you think.
