[G]It's not my fault, the gov't takes care of that.

[C]Is the rallying cry of the spoiled little brats.

[G]Is there no place for a man who will take it to the mat,

[C]Who'll look you in the eye and say 'go ahead challenge that',

[D7]It's not just our bellies you see, our minds have gotten [G]fat.

[G]An old dog grabs a bone is as hungry as the young,

[C]He eats for survival and not just for the fun.

[G]Watch the old dog he's a tough son-of-a-bitch

[C]You might hurt somebodys feelings, and make them uptight.

[G]Don't say what you think before it's politically alright.

[C]Get your head outa your ass and stand up tonight,

[D7]Don't play the head games and get over the [G]fright

[G]When it's all over and they lay me down,

[C]I hope this song is still hangin' around.

[G]To remind you of the man that I tried to be,

[C]To show you the man tonight that you see.

[D7]You see I live in my skin very [G]comfortably.

Repeat Chorus x2

Re: GRAVEL AND SPIT

Hi Steve,

I just gave "Gravel and Spit" a thrash and a bash and liked it. I did however add a quick C at the end of each verse and chorus to break the long G and it worked for the way I sang it but it may be completely at odds with way you perform it.

Thank you,

Roger

Re: GRAVEL AND SPIT

Thank you for that Steve,

I have just made you and Lynn into a trio by playing and singing along with you both on YouTube, it was fun. I must try that again more often.
