depends what your into,, i like pink floyd ,and if you have seen the wall.. or heard it,, theres a lovely little accoustic tune in there,, played on A minor.. its the bit in the movie where he has wrecked the hotel room and is in the floor in his shorts makin shapes with the debris. a beautiful piece of music in my opinion. i hope this helps.

I would say out of those suggestions everybody hurts by REM would be better to to try, very easy and also if ye get bored with plucking you can go into a strum, like I do.

Try Hurt by Johnny Cash (actually by 9 inch nails, but Johnny makes it wonderful). It's a combination of picking and strumming.
it's all first position chords too, so good for a beginner.

If you're just looking for a song to practice finding notes on the fretboard, the standard tuning for a guitar is C...just like a piano (or flute or oboe)
Classical guitar songs also involve plucking the guitar...try Estudio by Dionisio Aguado or Romanze by Francisco Tarrega...both sound good but are fairly easy to learn.
