Topic: The Clampet's Are Heading North!

Well Folks,

Wednesday morning I am heading to North Dakota for my daughters wedding.Should be a busy weekend.We have a practice session on thursday night for the songs we will play at the reception saturday night.Friday night we have a jam session at the inlaws.Then Saturday we have some friends of the bride that are gonna kick things off for about an hour,then I am gonna play four songs before the main man Jalan Crossland plays the big show of the evening.He is really somethin!
   We are starting to pack up and my wife just asked how many guitars I was bringing?I said at least 2 of course.And she said
how many F*&%#@? can you play? I told her to relax we will get everything in and she says "what if I wanted to bring something"
and I said you are arent you,and made reference to her three dogs she's bringing and she said "ya they'll all be sitting on me"
   I think the gals get kinda pressured up around weddings,she is usually pretty easy going but I am tip toeing around her right now.
  We will probably look like the Beverly Hillbillies  but what the heck,we'll get it all in.

I hate weddings.  They just make everyone nervous and excited and on edge.  Especially the women.  Keep tip toeing, bud.  And let us know.

When a man goes up against ovarian logic he WILL NEVER win. Just hang your head, say yes'um, then sneak the guitars in the vechile when she ain't lookin'. If ya got a day or 2 before ya leave, and don't want to take the wifie's dogs, just slip'em a worm pill. They won't hurt the dogs but she won't want to take'em if'n they gots the "squirts". You gotta be real sneaky when dealin' with the wimmen folks.

Hey Thanks Nela,

I don't think i'll mess with her dogs, I play second fiddle to them critters.It's too risky ,I havent slept alone in 30yrs and I'm afraid I might not like it.
I'll get everthing in and if I have room I might slip a third guitar in just to show her who's boss.Oops I hope she aint lookin over my shoulder!

You otta attend a Cape Breton Wedding, some receptions and parties go on for days.If there is tension at first it's all gone when the bar opens.lol

Hey Thanks Everyone!

She was looking over my shoulder and read most of what's here and I said see everyone takes my side.Her response was

"Ya right they're just a bunch of dumb a--  men anyway"    no offense  to anyone,she was gigglin when she said it.
I think she is lightening up a little. But she can be a very ornery Norwegian.Uff Da!
