Topic: THE GOLDEN 60TIES and EARLY 70ties

Forget the Beatles and The Rolling Stones, they are out of league.

Also THE famous period between 1964 - 1970, 1972.
I encountered a great phrase: "THE VIETNAM YEARS" and after some research that information is correct.
MY QUESTION (NEGLECTING STONES & BEATLES) =
- Who or which band should be on number ONE.
My list of most popular bands in the era 1964-1972 would be:
- The WHO
- The KINKS
- HERMAN'S HERMITS
- LED ZEPPELIN
- PINK FLOYD (when they switched and made ATOM HEART'S MOTHER.
This is my top 5 list

- MY GUITAR PLAYS EVERY STYLE = BLUES, ROCK, METAL, so I NEED TO LEARN HOW TO PLAY IT.

Well personally I'd say Zeppelin just cuz I'm such an avid fan... but I really think the Kinks were a great band who aren't remembered as well as some of thier contemporaries and probably should be.

I have finally found happiness in my life.  Guitars, singing, beer and camping.  And they all intertwine wonderfully.
