Topic: Took My picture Off the Wall/ song with recording

There's a little riff to this that I have no idea how to tab out so bear with me.   http://www.myspace.com/celsiesam

selso - thank's for including "with recording" in your thread title. I rarely visit the songwriting forum - largely due to my lack of imagination. I can't "hear" the song through written word, but I really appreciate the chordians who post recordings. The talent here is amazing.

I checked out your myspace page and was impressed with all of your recordings. The country / blues sound seems to come from within. I especially liked the song Caged, has a great bluesey tone.

Rule No. 1 - If it sounds good - it is good!

Hey Top,
Your welcome. I did that because you specificly said youd read songs more if the said recording in the thread title , so thank you!

Great song Selso.

Loved the phrase

"And they say that time is gonna heal
How ya gonna tell, girl, if your not here?"

"What's so funny 'bout peace, love and understandin' ."    Elvis Costello

Re: Took My picture Off the Wall/ song with recording

hi selso,

just had a listen to this on your web, i liked the words and the tune is [to me] reminiscent of blue grass and cajun music, instead of the guitar i could hear banjo, and a nice fiddle in the background, the song evokes images which in my mind is what a song is meant to do. so keep up the good work.

Ask not what Chordie can do for you, but what you can do for Chordie.

I could hear a banjo and a fiddle too. That would be sweet, I just got a mandolin and a resonator guitar, so when the slide finally arrives I'll be able to be a little more musical with my stuff. Im still getting use to hearing myself recorded. Sounds way better live
Thanks everyone for taking the time to listen to my little songs.
