Topic: Believe

This song is a jump from my normal writing.In the same style as "You don't bring me flowers" by Neil Diamond and Barbra Streisand. It is a romantic piano piece played very softly. The male voice is done in big letters above the female voice, the female is in small letters.
About a woman that is scared about falling in love, and being being hurt, and the male counterpart is telling her he is there for her to help her believe in love. It might look a little goofy the way I've done. It's the only way me thinks!!!
Chopro won't allow me to put where background singing should be and there are question marks for chords I don't know how to transpose from the piano.

I can hear it but I haven't got the talent to play it properly. I think I will approach the multi-talented board for help on this one.
Any piano players,female vocalists,male vocalists or lead guitar players out there that are looking for a project then by all means take a few minutes and Email (At the left) me so we can do some long distance recording.

I love duets. You are a poet my friend. Who ya gonna get to sing the female part? Am always trying to get the wife to sing with me but our vocal ranges are so different. Also, I looked for Home County Time on chordie but couldnt find it. Maybe you could post that one? I'd love to learn how to play it. Sorry I inserted a question in an unrelated thread

This is "BEAUTIFUL" .

I love the  soft pleading  to share, that this song emanates,   

and so well written. I agree with selso, you do have a poets heart Ken

plus the ability to express  in words/Lyrics. You have a great gift .

This song has been in me wee little brain for a couple of years now and keeps popping back up.
I have recently been feeling gooder about my writing abilities, thanks to all the kind comments from my friends at Chordie so I had to sit down and finish it. I have re-written a few of the lines today and I'm sure I'll do a bit more lol before I'm done.

I'm real happy to hear you enjoyed the read. I got as big soft spot in me for sentimental songs. I just wish I could come up with more of them.
As for vocals in the song it is up to who ever wants to try(male or female) I have how it sounds in my head and who ever can come close can do it. Just Email me anything with a vocal track so I can hear  the voice.
Most importantly I need a piano/keyboard player cause I can't play it smooth like it sounds(maybe in 25 years lol).

Thanks Phill, I'd love to be able to record this piece but I really don't have the piano talent to do it right. sad The piano is key in the song as it sets the mood for the vocals so if you know anyone interested that would work with a green guy lol have them send me an Email. smile

i cant believe you dont think your up to the piano part...dont forget i've heard your playing before, and i was well impressed!
i dont normally play the songs, as i cant hear it the way it's meant, but i gave this a go and it came out all bluesy?
tell you what, send me it with just voice and guitar [or whatever] so i can hear it, the words are so strong it needs to be played and listened to.

That happens to me daily and it can really mess up my real job.It's hard to concentrate when I have a tune in my head(not good for sales lol)

Good editing job, i like the changes . they fit like a glove to hand.

Your not on your own when churning new stuff in your wee head. I think all writers do this.

I ofton got up in the middle of the night to change some words/ Lyrics
