Try this. The next time your band has a gig think of it as the biggest show that you will ever have but you cant go on until you have a name and the person booking you is in a hurry to get it advertised. Right off of the top of your head you blurt out a name. Then go do the show and let the fans decide. It could work. Just remember its not the name of the band it's the music that people remember.

When people hear your name they are going to think what kind of music you play.  If they're wrong the right audience may stay home. 

That said, think what it sounds like on the marquee or when you introduce yourself... Tonight: (Your band's name)

Tonight: "Fourplay"
Tonight: "Free Beer"

Or Hi folks, we're: "Not From Around Here"

Just think of something that relates to your music, if people make fun of you, who cares. My bands name is Corn Fed Mules, but I don't get made fun of. Good Luck! smile

You could always go to; http://www.bandnamemaker.com/generator/
It randomly generates band names for you.  You can also put in a word you want to make sure is in the name.

Sometimes you have to burn a few bridges
to keep the crazies from following you.
