Topic: Bad habits

hey guys,i've been playing guitar for about 8

years now,and well i consider myself as not a bad

...but i self tought myself just by ear,and a

little bit of reading...so the probleme is that

i seem to be stuck at this point:(meaning not improving

and not being as good as i should be...so if anyone

has any advise on what i should do now,pls write

me back...thanks

this is what i went through and still am:

write down what you know and what you would like to know like triads, modes, scales [lead guitar], alternate tuning, fingerpick styling, sweep/appregio picking, the blues etc.  read articles on improvment at guitar magizine sites and make a folder for the ones you believe you need to use.  make binders/file folders on all of the things you know and want to learn.  sometimes it is just best to really get down what you already know.  improve your memory skills.  study other artist's styles but do not be a clone of them...hope this helps.
