Topic: Chord Variations

Can someone tell me what chord can be substituted for "E Major"?

Re: Chord Variations

I'm not quite sure I understand the question.   Are you looking for a different voicing for E major?  There's about half a dozen places on the neck you can play an E.

Someday we'll win this thing...

Re: Chord Variations

Hi autoharptom
If you want a direct substitution for any chord in a song then it really all depends what sounds right to you in the contex of what you are playing.
It's all what sounds ok Emaj7 for Emaj in a song might sound ok you would just have to try it see how it sounds.
There's no real subsitution for a correct chord only the type of variation or voice as has stated..

I am just letting you know I deleted you duplicate question from the the other section. PLease do not duplicate questions in different sections of the forum.
Thank you

As for the chord variation try clicking on the chord grid when you are in the song, that wikll show you where you can play all E's

If you could tell us the song, and which E chord it is, there are plenty on here who can help.
