Bass porn! Woot!
Nice axe you got there, Russell.
Thanks Jerome, and thats a nice photo of you, the bass in the photo is not mine (I wish it were) it looks just like yours and welcome I am happy to have your talents added to our forum
Yours is a Fender P bass. Mine is a MusicMan Stingray. Both are excellent instruments.
The Stingray is the loudest, most obnoxious bass you've ever heard. We refer to it as THUNDERSTICK!!!
I loves me some active pickups.
Jerome Im looking forward to hearing the rest of your recording that I listended to when you gonna have it up someplace? what I did hear of it was a nice groove so let us know when its ready "THUNDERSTICK" (i like the sound of that)

The one I sent you we aren't actually doing yet. That was just a working bit we are still trying to get a proper arrangement for. Everyone loves it, except the guy that wrote it, oddly enough, so he gets final say on how it goes. He wants to play the banjo over that lick, which means someone else has to play the finger picking part on the guitar.
I think that is the "your your own worst critic syndrom" I do that often only because theres no one but mysely to critique it and I think that fingerpicker is going to end up being you if no one else can keep up posted on the progress of your demo and a sneak preview if possible
Oh absolutely. The funny thing is though, for this guy, it works. He's our best song writer, but he's pretty particular about having something finished before we bring it out to the public.
Last gig cracked me up, though. We have a girlie calendar hanging in our rehearsal space, and he noodled down some lyrics as an ode' to one of the girls on it. We were on a break at a gig a few days later, and he's furiously writing down lyrics at the bar. 10 minutes later he steps to the mic and belts out this nifty little ditty about Ms. November. We all fell into a four part harmony right on the spot. It was a hit, and the first time anyone had even heard the song, including the guy that wrote it!
So things are weird like that.
Ah crap. I think I hit the edit button rather than the quote button, and accidently squashed your response, Russell.
My bad! Please don't banninate me!
I thought something looked a little weird,no problem the way things have been going lately its just another anomaly

I just don't want anyone thinkin' you have a girlie calendar hanging in your rehearsal space.
Thats ok you aint that good looking anyway things are a little looser here, im more interested in recording and original music and this concept of producing songs for members may take a while to take hold but at least the structure is in place and the idea has worked on several projects already so im optimistic and look for a good new year we only lack participation from other members and this squabble going on is not helping matters it would make a good song "the poets rebellion" I think I will compose some music for it
