Re: epiphone?

I agree with Jay!  I recently bought an Epiphone Les Paul Studio, and really like it!  I had debated between this guitar and a Strat.  But, decided to go with the Les Paul! Epiphone does make nice (and less expensive) guitars.  I say go for it!

Re: epiphone?

I just got this same guitar for Christmas and I really like it.  Actually the guitar was part of a player pack that came with a small amp, tuner, strap etc.  I wanted something inexpensive to learn on and this was a great deal for a beginner like me.  Maybe a real Gibson Les Paul when I get better.  Good luck.

Re: epiphone?

Hi,

I just made the jump and got a Epi Les Paul Standard Plus. I would have never admitted it, but I love this guitar! I also have a Fat Strat that I love as well, but even though this Les Paul might not be as versital it sounds and plays really well. I have been shocked with how much I have enjoyed playing this EPI! Sure it's not a high end Gibson, but I think it's one of the best guitars you can get in the price range. By the way, may I suggest buying a used one? I got one that is in perfect shape with nice upgrades and a hard case for 350.00.

Re: epiphone?

You can buy and wire in push pull pots and split your coils to get a single coil sound out of the humbucker pickups you have on your epi.
