Topic: Alison Krauss - Jacob's dream

Hi! Does anyone recognize this fabulous song? It seems to me it is played by two guitars (in part), but my friends disagree. Anyway, I can't get my fingers around it - does anyone have the chords/tabs for this one??? I'm really desperate!

Re: Alison Krauss - Jacob's dream

Hi hjth,

I had not heard this song before and it sent shivers down my spine when I listened to it so  thank you for that.

I can only find the lyrics at: http://www.sweetslyrics.com/555826.Alison%20Krauss%20-%20Jacob's%20Dream.html

But it does appear to be for sale here: http://www.musicnotes.com/sheetmusic/mt … =MN0057631

Best I can do I'm afraid.

Re: Alison Krauss - Jacob's dream

Thank you, Roger

Yes, it's a great song. I found a video on youtube by a girl from the UK (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TdFpPjiy3xc). She seems to be pretty close, but she's using some different tuning, it seems to me. I still think there are more than one guitars in the original song..

Best regards,

Julius

I FOUND THE VIDEO OF ALLISON KRAUSS AND HER BAND AT WWW.MUSICJESUS.COM
I THINK THE CHORD PROGRESSION IS Dm, Am, C, Dm

Re: Alison Krauss - Jacob's dream

Thank you hoss01. I already found out the hard way. The trick is to tune both E strings to G. Really fun to play.
