Help with maker of older guitar

I was just given an older electric guitar by my wifes granddad but i don't who made it. It has a nice sound with the SSH pickups and it weighs a ton and it looks like an older fatstrat but it isn't marked Fender. Granddad said he got it back in 1970 at Sears. I don't think it is a Silvertone because the quality of the gutiar is too good. If anyone that might have an idea of what it is i would appreciate any input. Namebrand does't matter I'm just curious.
