Topic: where have the chords gone when I print?
Hi, all of a sudden when I print songs they don't come out with the chords above the lyric lines anymore. Does anyone know why and how to fix it?
I'm using Mac OSX

Hello zimzer - Perhaps this is an obvious question, but is your printer out of color? I also use Mac OSX and have not observed this printing problem except once when my color cartridge was empty of blue. James
Fair question <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_smile.gif" border=0 alt="Smile">
I've tried printing on printers at my school which are laser printers. The rest of the text comes out fine, actually everything comes out fine except for the missing chords.
I'm 99% sure it's a setting somewhere, most likely on my computer, because the chords are also missing on the print preview...
I've printet some songe that turned out fine, the next time I printet the chords were mission, as far as I can remember I haven't changed any setting between the two printing sessions.

OK zimzer - post a reply here that has links to the songs that are gving you this problem. I'll take a look and see what there is to see.
It happens on all songs I try to print, but here's a couple of them:

The only odd thing I have noticed is that the print window option of selecting which pages to print now defaults to page 1 as the first and 65535 as the last. I'm fairly sure that when it worked the last page box would have the actual numer of pages in the document, 3 fex.

Hey zimzer - The songs print fine on my end, so I'm suspecting something is amiss with your printer or printer driver. Perhaps if you re-install the printer driver it might fix the problem?
Another obvious question - are you printing by using the 'print' button to the right of the chordie page (over by the transposing tool and other chordie utilities)?
James
Good tip! I should have thought of that, re-install! How obvious when you think about it! <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_smile.gif" border=0 alt="Smile">
I've tried both the printer button in chordie and printing through my browser...
Thanks for your help, I'll se what happens when I re-install.

Hey zinger,
Did you ever resolve this problem. I have it too. I'd appreciate your fix, if so.
Thanks
Hello again Simzer,
Sorry about misspelling your name the first time. I have resolved problem. I upgraded driver to 10.5 as per operating system. Then I changed from Foxfire to Safari. Works great now. And thanks to Chordie folks for such a great feature. Always have loved Chordie, now it's even better. Thanks guys.
Zimzer
What a dork. I did it again. My apologies.
