Settle down settle down. <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_mad.gif" border=0 alt="Mad"> Chordie does have tabs aswell. If you were actually looking close enough you would have seen that on screen where you select a song it says if it is a tab or a chord chart. What song were you looking for in paticular?
there are some songs that don't really have any chords (that are actually played on a guitar), but almost all songs have tabs. plus like Altex said there's a little box above the song preview that says CHORD or TAB. i think this site offers a good balance of chords and tabs, that's why i love it!
The ones that bug me are the ones that are popping up that have neither tab nor chords, just lyrics.
That bugs me.
I have planned a feature where you can vote for songs to be removed. The only reason I am skeptical is that some people have the attitude "I hate all tab songs" or "I hate all chord songs".
If people could use it just for removing the "only lyrics" songs, it would be great.
How about a "report this lyrics only song" feature? I know I read on here somewhere that the moderators asked specifically not to list lyrics only due to some kind of copyright thing.
And they bug me. I can get lyrics anywhere. Chords and tablature... not so much.
Apparently when chordie's index was greatly expanded recently, some the new source sites contain listings with only lyrics. Inconvenient, but not the end of the world.
The mighty admin's second son was born recently, so he is occupied with important family matters for the time being. I'm sure when he settles back into a more normal routine that this matter can be addressed.
Until then, just make a note of the songs that are lyrics-only.
The prohibition on posting full lyrics applies only to the forum . . . posting the full lyrics of copyrighted songs in the forum is not allowed for legal reasons.

Well NOTHING in particular at this point BUT from time to time I need to get onto a new song....and it sux HUGE that all I get is tabs.....Im an old bugger and cant be botheres with working it out....I NEED CHORDS.
Mind you every other decent chord and lyric site has gone scared with the copyright crap....its a load of guff. By the way LYRICS ARE IMPORTANT as well....how else can you get them?....those that dont like it being here should take thier tabs and go elswhere perhaps. Nope.....this place has NOT got enough chords by a long shot. Sorry......but thats all I see....damn tabs n more tabs.
I agree. Tabs are only usefull for analyzing riffs if you can't read a score.
But I don't understand why you're complaining, there are still lots of songs with chords. Maybe you should go to a bookstore...
