Topic: Finally sold my Dano...here's the two new ones I'm looking at

I love my Dano 12-string dearly, but it just can't handle the kind distortion and stuff I'm looking for.  I need a guitar that is versatile.  So after many months of looking around online and researching, as well as checking out a few guitar stores, I've picked out two Ibanez RG's that I'm looking at.  The only real difference is that one has a flamed top.  Here's pics of them.

That's a Squier, right? Yeah, I've looked at those.  I played my friend's American Strat, though, and didn't like it much.  I also played a guy's Ibanez RG (a $400 guitar) and absolutely loved it, so that's why I'm going with the RG.

Have you had the chance to hear what they sound like?  I went to SamAsh a few weeks ago to try the RG series out and wasnt happy with the pickups on certain models ... I tried out the RG370DX with the INF pickups and loved it ... that's going to be my next buy

Either way, good luck on it and hope you like it!

I was looking at an RG with a whammy...but I've been told that a fixed bridge is a lot easier to deal with, and that whammy's on cheaper models aren't quite as good as their more expensive cousins.
