Correct way to play Jack Johnson's Flake

I looked it up on chordie and the chords are right(Although i prefer a differnt position) but i just cant figure out the strumming pattern, Even the one listed on here as the "Correct Strumming Pattern" doesnt sound right to me. Any ideas?
