This is just a little story song. I’m not sure where this came from but I like it.

Verse 1
[D]Joe slept on a waterbed
He [Bm]slept on it for years
He [A]bought it way back in the days
We [E]lived with fewer fears

He [D]set up the frame laid out the mattress
[Bm]Hooked up the water hose
[A]Turned on the water let it run
And [E]watched it as it rose [A]

Like [A]sleeping on a cloud
[E]And Joe loved his waterbed
And [Bm]keep it forever he vowed [A]

[D]Joe like so many of us
Was [Bm]forgetful and unknowing
[A]What to do he had no clue
To [E]keep his bed ongoing

He [D]forgot there was some stuff
From [Bm]time to time to add
To [A]keep the water in his bed
From [E]one day going bad [A]

[A]His girlfriend came to visit

[D]She poured in the conditioner

[A]Their last gasp just a little burp

[E]Now not quite as comfortable

So [D]Joe drained the waterbed
Not [Bm]knowing what he was seeing
As [A]out the cloudy fluid flowed
That [E]once held living beings

Yes [D]beds will come and beds will go
But Joe [Bm]missed his waterbed
With [A]all those little creatures
Once a[E]live but now quite dead [A]

Awesome imagination in your writing. I had a waterbed way back when and I'm sure...no...I know I drained a few critters.
